Share some unique facts and business history:
Since opening, Kathy’s Urgent Care treats approximately 60 patients per day. We employ 20+ professionals, many of whom are bilingual (English and Spanish). This allows us to meet the medical needs of a large cross-section of the local population.
What do you see for the future of your business?
Because of changes in the health care sector (including higher co-insurance, co-pays, shortages of primary care physicians, increasing wait times and costs at emergency departments), patients seek better opportunities to obtain routine health care more rapidly and at lower cost. Urgent care centers progressively meet the need for treatment of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries and for preventative care that includes physical examinations (for employment, immigration, licensing, and sports activities), inoculations, and routine monitoring of chronic conditions. Further, urgent care centers are located in more convenient locations, such as Rocky Hill, and are routinely open during evenings and weekends.
What makes your business stand out? We provide high quality medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses as well as preventative care at a convenient location for people who work and live in Rocky Hill, Monday through Friday, 8am – 8pm, and Saturday through Sunday, 8am – 5pm.
What do you think differentiates you from your competitors?
What products or services do you offer companies or individuals?Kathy's Urgent Care treats patients suffering from injuries and illnesses that do not require the services of an emergency department. In addition, KUC provides preventative medical services, including inoculations and physical examinations for immigration, employment requirements (DOT), schools, and sports-related activities. Most health insurance plans, including Medicaid (CT Husky) and Medicare, are accepted.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Our patients routinely report high levels of satisfaction with the care and atmosphere at Kathy’s Urgent Care. We also serve many patients who are on Medicare or Medicaid and who often encounter difficulty in obtaining medical care.
